Visiting Australia: 4 Great Souvenir and Gift Ideas

If you are planning a trip to Australia, you may already be thinking about fun souvenirs you can bring back for yourself, your friends or your family. This article will explore some fun souvenirs which will allow you to bring a little bit of Oz home with you. Read on to find out more.

A Sydney Harbour Bridge Coat Hanger

If your trip allows you to visit the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, then a coat hanger which is shaped like this amazing structure may be just the thing for you. Made using robust plastics, this novelty coat hanger is both strong and lightweight. It makes a great accompaniment for any clothes you have picked up while travelling as you will be reminded of your trip whenever you open your wardrobe.

A Kangaroo Fridge Magnet

The kangaroo is one of the first animals people may think of when they hear the word Australia. Nothing beats seeing this animal in the wild, carrying one of its cubs around in its pouch. A kangaroo magnet is a fantastic way of sharing your love of this cool-looking animal with your loved ones back home.

A Vintage-Looking Ned Kelly Wanted Poster

Just as the USA has Bonnie and Clyde, Australia has Ned Kelly. Ned Kelly is perhaps the most famous Australian outlaw. The legendary tales of his final shootout with police while wearing bulletproof armour can really capture the imagination. Why not pick up a vintage-looking wanted poster featuring his name, face and details of the reward as a gift for someone who loves crime stories?

A Mini Didgeridoo

The didgeridoo is the traditional musical instrument of the native people of Australia. It takes the form of a long, hollow pole. The player places their mouth over one end and blows into the instrument to produce a deep bass tone. However, if you want to take one home as a souvenir, it may be best to buy a mini one. Full-sized didgeridoos are several feet long, which means you may have trouble fitting it into your suitcase before your flight home. Mini didgeridoos are a great present for kids and can really spark an interest in all things Australian.

If you are interested in finding out more, you should make contact with a souvenir sales company today. A member of staff will be happy to help you find a souvenir that will truly represent the wonderful time you had in Australia.

About Me

Crafts and Hobbies: Making Gifts

For a very long time, I didn't see the point in engaging with crafts and hobbies. I was invited to quite a few craft groups but I just didn't have any confidence that i would produce anything worthwhile. However, all of that changed when my friend tricked me into attending a local craft group at our church. That evening, i produced some really fun little gifts for my friend and family which they really loved. Since then, I have been a massive fan of making handcrafted gifts for everyone. I hope you enjoy this blog which showcases some of what I have learnt from the experts.
